Interesting that this can be done. Like with Iceland genome project, I think the key to its success is the small geographical population and the number of people willing to pay €250-€500.
As the price of genome mapping goes down, maybe more Chinese might be willing to have their chromosomes analyzed. However, I doubt it, because for those who have their jiapus, this information is already recorded for the paternal lines.
Imagine the value in following the maternal lines via the mitochrondrial mapping?
