I could not find the answer in the help section. I want to link a word to a hyperlink so the reader can click on the word itself and be directed to the web page I designate. Currently I have to do this: My name is Doug siyigenealogy.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=joeysunYou have to click on the URL after my name Doug to get to the link. It can make the post a tad wordy. How do I hide the URL information into the name 'Doug'? I want people to click on the word I designate instead of the URL. This is how the USER ONLINE board on the bottom of the Home page is arranged.

it looks like this....minus the quotation marks put this " [url" (followed by " =" in front the website, then the " " then put this " ]" after the website then " whatever word you want to use" then put this at the end " " Don't leave any spaces hope that makes sense PUT the equal sign = after url. I left it out so it will show you what it should look like [urlhttp://siyigenealogy.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=joeysun]click here

harc3, Thought I will have a go and test it as well. Hope it works. Example: The San Francisco Gin/Yan Clan Home Page was set up by our Clan Association for all Gin Family members and friends. It is specially aimed at overseas born folks. Regards, Ah Gin
