tyuti1668, xuangxing,
Many thanks. Since posting the question I also re discovered the Thread, "Comments", which tells us "how to". Right. Challenge for this old fellow is to make it happen. But recall I asked about posting Chinese Characters? Thanks to advice, I have been successful in posting Chinese characters in Unicode. So there is hope for this old fellow yet. Watch this space, in time.
Regards, Ah Gin :-)

tyuti1668, Great picture of the village gate. Many thanks again for quick response. Now let me try again. P/s: the following picture is not meant to be the best Holywood professional pic, but an introduction to the "No People Village" -- a story in itself. But let me tame the technology first. Here goes: [http://lh4.ggpht.com/__iMOBskOvvM/SS-MNme-EtI/AAAAAAAAADA/RzDF6AUHTrc/s640/No%/img] Regards, Ah Gin

tyuti1688, First experiment failed. Sequence of event: uploaded pic to Picasa. Opend the pic. Right click, properties, copy URL. But there is no jpeg extension. Wonder if that is caused by Google's way of storing the pic on Picasa. Second experiment seems to be successful. Sequence of event. Went to my existing Gin Family Home Page, select a pic (Family alter at San Francisco), right click, open properties, copy URL, paste that within the etc. of this forum. Worked. Abut to try thir experiement. Open an existing web page, select a photo (of the Gin Memorial Hall Opening at Kaiping earlier this month), right click at picture level, copy pic URL. At this forum "Post Reply" page, select Insert pic icon, embed the URL between etc. Let see if it works. Thanks again. Regards, Ah Gin

Why failed ? The URL isn't copied properly. It's VERY long. Right click the http://... & select "ALL (A)" then copy the "FULL" url Picasa can't "hotlink" image larger than (fullsize) 800 pixel. Flickr.com is more user friendly.

Many thanks Sifu. Let's try something convoluted -- posting an image from this site, ie this photo, but this time, with a Select All, and then copy all. Regards, Ah Gin

Ah Gin,
Congratulations! You appear to have tamed the technology. I regret I wasn't around to join in the "fun" when you were experimenting.
Looks like tyuti1668 really deserved to be addressed as sifu by you - he has definitely very skillfully guided you through the whole process.
Kudos to you tyuti1668.

xungxing,
The thing was as I could not get the picture displayed, I was beginning to wonder which part of a simple instruction I did not understand -- was I getting too old for technology? So I was trying into late evening (my evening anyway). Amazingly soon as I posed a question, tyuti1668 responded. Seems like folks on this forum enjoys a challenge. I was and am very please to get it poing at last, thanks to Sifu tyuti1668.
The other amazing thing is, tyu1668 was able to backward engineer to discover the source of my photo -- the one showing clear sign, announcing to folks that the following village etc. has been listed or to be listed by the UNESCO etc. even though I made a mess of things.
It shows that we are never too old to learn. Now back to very old things. Once again, many thanks to tyuti1668, and all who encouraged this old fellow.
Regards, Ah Gin
