It must be Halloween as I see quite a few youngsters dressed up in black with masks and painted faces. It sure is catching on Down Under.
harc3, how about showing us your latest artistic creation for this year?

I have alway been impressed that Henry has shared his photo. His frequent posts along with his photo sets the tone for a forum that is friendly and willing to help strangers. People are always afraid of showing their identity in the Wide World Web. I truly doubt some Hollywood style predator will stalk me now that my face is exposed. However, if showing my photo can ease reluctances for people to participate, much like Henry's photo adds a personal touch to his posting, then I feel it is time to emulate our most active participant. Sigh, if only the forum I moderate (Software for Chinese Genealogy) has more activity Doug

Woodson & Helen, Since many of us do not pay much attention to the names of the threads we visit on the Forum: Doug is the moderator of "Software for Chinese Genealogy" is one of the major threads on the SiYi Forum and not an entity on another website: siyigenealogy.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=softwareHenry

Henry,
I know Doug is the moderator of this forum. Somehow from the message I got the impression that he is hosting another message board elsewhere. Sorry for the confusion.

Helen and Woodson, Thanks for the offer. Yes, I do not have a forum site of my own. However you both revealed more active links for me to explore. These sound like URL's in which you both are active. Doug

Sorry Doug - I thought you had your own site as well. Keep up the great work here anyway.

Things are a little quite, thought you might get a laugh out of this.
I am in the books of a casting agent. I had a bit part in this comedy sketch about 18 months ago. Just look for the oldest bloke holding a stick towards the end of the clip. I was paid a very small sum for my troubles. But it was an experience inside a TV studio, and it was within walking distance from home.
Unbeknownst to me, I had appeared twice on TV news. Once I was on a news item on illegal casinos in Chinatown. No, I wasn't inside one. I had my second daughter ( she is now 28 years old) riding on my shoulders whilst walking down the street. Many friends had seen lt but not me.
The other time was more than ten years ago. I was featured in a soft news item towards the end of a news bulletin. We had a very wet spell and I was running in the rain going to work with my backpack on. It ran for probably more than ten seconds. Many friends had seen it A workmate holidaying in Tasmania saw it also. There you have it, I was on national television. Haha !!
