- Only image or videos will display directly in your post. Documents and pdf's will present a link for the reader to download. Consider that proprietary formats (like Microsoft DocX & Adobe Portable Document Format) require the correct software on the reader's workstation or browser.
- You can only attach 1 image per post using the attachment option. This option is not available if you click <quick reply> below left. You will need to click the full <reply> on the top or bottom right.
- If you want to attach multiple images to one post, see Posting Photosclick. Many people find the exercise daunting. However, posting multiple images makes captioning and explanations easier. You can show examples via multiple screen shots, sharing your rationale and train of thought. A disadvantage is having to store your photos on a public website or portal like FlickR or Picassa.
- Clicking the <preview> button does not allow reading the text at the same time with viewing the attachment in the preview pane. You will have to click <post reply> to look at your full post with the image attached. If you make a mistake, just <delete> the post and then retype the text and re-attach the image. A trick: while in the text box, <select all> and copy the words onto your workstation's word/text editor to save and minimize re-typing. Another option is to click <modify> on the top right if you just want to correct text. As the author, you have the privilege to modify or delete any of your posts.
- You can preview your complete post as it will display when embedding images via the Posting Photosclick option. This allows easier editing.
