Like with Iceland genome project, I think the key to its success is the small geographical population and the number of people willing to pay €250-€500. As the price of genome mapping goes down, maybe more Chinese might be willing to have their chromosomes analyzed. However, I doubt it, because for those who have their jiapus, this information is already recorded for the paternal lines. Imagine the value in following the maternal lines via the mitochrondrial mapping? IMHO
