Jason,
The Editor, at the Szeto Library in Chikan this past November 2018, said that Volumes 2 & 4 of the Szeto genealogy book-set would be available sometime in 2019.
Perhaps, Volume 2 may be available now.

Wow Jason! That's incredible information there! I don't know if we'll be able to find Yuen-fue's father.......we only have 3 generations so far ....Yuen fue, Fong, and Kang chee/Kang wing.. I've been adding information to my previous post when I find it on Ruth Chow (maiden name- Ruth Tom).... I was wondering who was the Taishan Progenitor....thanks for saving me time searching for it....I wish they had put all of the Village dates of Origin in the book, but it's fantastic just to know Liantang is so old! I asked Wing Tak if Vols. 2 and 6 were done yet, but he said he would get back....I think he forgot. Wow......it just occurred to me that Joe and Ruth were married 2 July 1952, and she died of a heart attack a year later on 12 June 1953! There are still alot of records on Ancestry that I haven't looked at yet....... Fay Chee

Oh, I had another thought.... Wing Tak said that "...at the hometown of Rose, Toishan established Rose Kindergarten from 1931 to 1949, graduated 514.......So he could not have meant Ruth Chow because she did not marry Joe Shoong until 1952.... Uh oh.....remember in Fong's Will, he said that he was not leaving anything to his nephew Fook Soo Hoo........ well, it seems that Fook filed a Social Security Claim as the child of Fong and Quan She......maybe it's just a coincidence and it's a different Fong or Fook..

Hi Fay Chee
Recent years i started came back my Kaiping village frequently for searching the grandfa story and his property.
Heard from village 70+ elders, much sad story about some of Szeto left China to US around 1920s.
Those family younger generation stayed in China also suffer painful of seperate family between US and CN for decades.
Recently in Kaiping city, i saw more overseas Szeto came back frequently, one of the reason is the land is more expensive after high speed rail station launched in 2018.

Kaiping youngster rare knowing or caring that history nor their overseas relatives.
Those Kaiping elders familiar that history is less and less. Officials may not welcome to help searching old record, they prefer constructing future more.
Youngster using local IT social platform which different from Hong Kong and western. But they seldom speak English.
Some location name or personal name translation may changes because different government has different pronunciation betwwen Chinese word to English.

Hi Henry, I found out that the last two Volumes of the Seto Zupu are available! Vol 2 and 6! I don't know how large they are, hopefully not as large as Vol 5.......
I still haven't heard back from anyone about Rose SooHoo Shoong's Ancestral Village.........
There is so much information on Ancestry.com...........I found Rose SooHoo's grandparents names on her mother's (Sing Fah Quan) side: Loo She and Quan Lum

Fay Chee,
Your photo shows that you have Volumes 1, 3, 5, and 6.
So, you already have volume 6.
The last two volumes 2 & 4, according to your source - says they are now available.

Hi both,
Great to know that all the entire publication has been produced.
I am not quite sure if Volume 2 is where we can find the lineages of the Longgang villages, it is just my hypothesis since they are from a senior branch of the clan.
The only way to know for sure is to look in Volume 1, where generations 1 through 14 are written, and look for the volume/page referral under the name of the 14th gen. Ancestor 丹梧, whose great-great-grandsons are 熙特 (崙碧), progenitor of Longgangju, and 熙堆, progenitor of Gejiao (second cousins)

Now I wrote the number on the books so that I don't get it wrong again......Thanks so much Henry! Fay Chee

Hi Fay Chee,
No big deal. You already do great and a lot without knowing how to read & write Chinese - you have my admiration.
