kantmakm,
What DNA service would you recommend Chinese genealogists use and why?

I think 23&me right now is at the head of the pack in terms of slicing east asian descent and they seem to be putting resources into making it more and more granular. The thing is any database needs critical mass in order to be better - gedmatch.com is great because it allows people to upload their autosomal and X results from multiple services and as such has the potential to be very large. However, that is a volunteer effort and as such cannot be relied upon to be a perpetual resource - that said, anyone who has kits compatible with gedmatch should definitely upload there. The admixture utilities are very interesting, and it's all FREE.

I am a member of the Khmer Cousins DNA project on FTDNA - www.familytreedna.com/public/khmercousins/ and a member of a private facebook group of asian adoptees and adoptive parents pursuing biological connections through DNA testing. I also support an organization that works to bring samples back from parents in the PRC who have been separated from their children - dnaconnect.org/I have no financial interest in any of the projects.
