Henry Tom and I have been helping New York City's Museum of Chinese in America put together this conference. Chinese American Genealogy Conference 2016 October 15-16, 2016 The Museum of Chinese in America presents the inaugural conference on Chinese American genealogy in New York City. Participants will be able to attend presentations, workshops, and even engage in consultations with experienced researchers covering a wide range of topics tailored for Chinese American family research. Whether you’re just getting started or are a pro, this conference will provide you with the tools and methodology to dig into your family’s roots! Featured workshops: • Where do I start?: Principles and Practices of Chinese American Family Research • What’s in a Name?: Unpacking Naming Conventions in Chinese Genealogy • Researching the Chinese Exclusion Act Case Files • Tracing Your Lineage in China Without Having to be Chinese Literate EARLY EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DEADLINE AUG 24th.
