Hi, I just want to know if we still have relatives feom Amoy, China.
According to my late grandfather, his father was a Chinese businessman from Amoy, China. His name was “Dy Pu Ya”. When my great grandfather moved here in the Philippines, he undergone natiralization and adapted the surname of one of the witnesses which is “Enrique”. But changed the “ri” to “di”. So his surname became “Endique”.
They lived in Bicol in Sorsogon but that was all the information I got from my grand father. My grand father was born I think by 1920s. His name was Mario Endique.
Can you help me trace my roots?

Hello, my great great grandfather was Yap Piangco (1865-1915) and his brother was Yap Footo (1867-1925), they resided in Candelaria, Zambales, Philippines. Their father Yap Soo and mother Puo Quio were from Amoy Province China. Some of my relatives stated that they traveled to Amoy when they were younger and visited the family grave where they had pictures of our ancestors. My great grandfather Cornelio Yap's brother's grave (Gerardo Yap) has chinese characters on it stating what we believe is the province and what generation Yap they are. Looking to connect our Yap family roots to China. Please see attached photo of his gravestone, any help in translating would be very much appreciated! We have created a FB Group page for all Yaps in Zambales, if anyone has any info to help us connect, or you believe you are a relative please email me: YAPRIKO@GMAIL.com . Thank you!

Hi rikoyap,
The village location on Gerardo A. Yap's headstone is as follows:
南安 金淘 埔后鄉 Nan'an (County), Jintao (Township), Puhou Village
Both the town and village can be found in Google Maps. Here is the link to the directions between them: click here.
However, there doesn't seem to be the mention of a generation number.
Best,
Jason
