Hi,
I would like to trace back my chinese ancestry. My great great grandfather's name is Tan Bian King from Amoy, China. He migrated to the Philippines long ago. I am tracing my chinese ancestry back to know any history with my great great grandfather's life.
Thank You in Advance.

My grandfather told me that his father originated from Fujian province. His name was SIN TAN BIAN. when my great gradfather came from CHina to the Philippines (ilo-ilo) as refugee.. He enlisted his Original name a Sin Tan Bian. But he change his name when he got married to a Hispanic mistiza Florencia Britania in ilo-ilo. To be naturalized in the Philippines you have to make your name a Pilipino. so the immigrant Certificate of Registration (ICR) change his name from SIN TAN BIAN to BIANTAN, SIXTO or sixto Biantan. Now our surename is BIANTAN. He told my grand father the he has 2 brothers that left the Philippines to return to China with an original surename of BIAN. I dont know his ties with the amoy but I am sure that my great grand father before they came to the Philippines has a lot of servants and made some contact in business from CHina to ilo-ilo.. He was also tied to a spanish Mistiza to assure their influence in Ilo-ilo in politics and Business.
