I am hoping to find out about my dad's family. My grandfather came to America, and left some brothers behind. I have some images that I will add here, but the headstones are not very clear. The map, and family tree are each two images, so I hope you can figure them out. Grandfather's village is supposedly the one I highlighted with yellow. The person highlighted in yellow, in the family tree, is my father. The other page of the family tree is at the link below, as are the headstone photos.

Hi twong,
Welcome to the forum.
The map shows very clear directions between the county city of 恩平 Enping (Yanping) and 龍洲 Longzhou (Lung Chau), 黃享女 Wong Hong's ancestral village; the village is located due east of the city (the map shows south at the top of the page).
According to the family tree, 黃衛氏 Wong Wai Tse is the wife of Wong Hong. Is your father's Chinese name 廣洪 Kwong Hung? The headstones only mention Enping (Yanping) county and not the village.
Best, Jason

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, that was my father's name. I will try to find the village on Google earth, but I didn't see your directions. Would it be possible for you to post the Google earth coordinates here? Is there any way to track down relatives in China?

I didn't realize your comment about directions to the village contained a link. Thank you!

Twong, I just returned from my incredible family genealogy search in China last Sunday. I will contact the Enping Federation or Returned Overseas Chinese to find the right contact that can help search for your village and any relatives Isn

Twong, I did communicate with the Enping Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, which is a Government agency that helped me find my mother ‘s long lost Chen relatives at Lianjiangli village about 10 miles northeast of Enping City.
The Contact is: Mr LAING, Weidong: Vice Chairman: email: 1076906839@qq.com (they only use numbers in the first part of the email). If you mention my Chinese name THAM (CHEN), Sui Kung Of Lianjiangli, he is expecting you to communicate with him. He will likely assign your information to someone working for him to track you village and relatives. if you use Ian, my English name, he will not have a clue who you are talking about.
Good luck! Ian

Twong, I forgot to mention to make sure to attach all the above photos to your email. I imagine with the detail you have it should not be difficult for them to track your village & relatives.
I emailed in English last time and painstakingly copied the Chinese characters of my moms brothers, her dad and granddad, the village name (copied and pasted photos) on a make shift family chart but it was enough. They usually have someone that understands English & will respond back to you in English
Good luck!
