The Mississippi River Delta, stretching for about 100 miles along the banks of the mighty Mississippi, and extending for about 50 miles from the Arkansas side eastward across the state of Mississippi is one of the richest agricultural regions anywhere. A documentary exploring the ethnic relations in that region, entitled "Mississippi Triangle", was made by well-known Chinese American filmmaker Christine Choy and others, nearly 30 years ago.

A book Lotus among the magnolias Robert Seito Quan was recently published about this group.
Two previous US Books were: The Mississipi Chinese: Beteen Black and White, James Lowen Chopsticks in the land of cotton John Jung
During the long period when Chinese emmigration was restricted, this was the third largest population of chinese in the US.

LUCY M. COHEN, CHINESE IN THE POST-CIVIL WAR SOUTH: PEOPLE WITHOUT A HISTORY (1984) is academic researched and one of the best book on the topic.
