For fun, as an Overseas Chinese, how do you identify yourself in your community? Do you feel more Chinese or more of the nationality into which you live? Culturally, where are you most comfortable?

Being born in the US, I identify as an American and live a bicultural life. My parents immigrated from China to the states. They taught us their regional dialect, celebrated their holidays and traditions. They're gone, so now I'm an absentee celebrant. On a visit to China and my ancestral village, I felt truly lucky that my Dad chose to immigrate abroad. Otherwise, my life would have turned out differently.
