The attached photograph of an unknown male cyclist was seen in a second hand bookshop in Adelaide a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the dealer was absent so I could not make further enquiries; no price was given. This studio portrait was made by Bond & Co, located at 91 Rundle Street, Adelaide, South Australia during the years 1890-1900. Face recognition technology and comparison with photographs in Australian Government Archives might eventually reveal the identity of this cyclist. Here's a link to a website with photos extracted from a range of government documents in records are held by the National Archives of Australia: invisibleaustralians.org/faces/ Some details about individuals can be seen by clicking on each photo.
