Hi Christine, I read all of the stories, each one is different yet the same. There are so many links to click. I like them all.
Helen Ying's in particular is of special interest because the party I helped in China also wanted to find the graves, but yielded no results. It is an enduring mystery.
The party, Mar family from Chungshan, had experienced the White Australia Policy first hand when the head was told to leave in spite of children born in Australia and their mother was Australian citizen. There was also identiy traded, and link to Ma Ying Piu, the great entrepreneur, industrialist and department store pioneer in Hong Kong and China. One day I'll put their full story on this board.
I am grateful for the candour of the Mar family, they held back nothing from me. They answered all my questions. I was involved 100%, did what I could do to help. It was very fulfilling.
Glad to have your return to this board. There is always something new from you.
