On the headstone the village is read from right to left 洲獨會新東廣 (in traditional characters). 洲独会新东广 (simplified characters) Guangdong, Xinhui, Duzhou

Thank you so much for the translation and explanation how it's read. This is all new for me and learning.

FYI: one Chinese map does show your 獨洲 Duzhou village.

Hi LaChinatown, is the map that shows the village online?

Actually it is shown on google map at coordinates: Xinhui Qu, Jiangmen Shi, Guangdong Sheng, China, 519135 22.366651, 113.170822 Just have to zoom to 1000 ft or 2000 ft level. When view on satellite view, need to turn off the road labels, in the U.S. edition map. Maybe it has merged with the village tyuti1668 pointed out. Or for administration purpose. Both villages are labeled.

Hi Christie, are you on 23andme or gedmatch, by any chance? I'm on both and pretty sure we could compare kits to see if we're connected.

Christie,
SunWui is spelled in Cantonese and XingHui is in Mandarin.
They are both the same in Chinese.
