Thank you, Henry. Do you know what it means, the symbolism? What are the 2 figures inside the circle?

Grace,
As you may note, I changed the original Li coat of arms I posted because I checked other sources and they are not the same. Perhaps the first coat of arms was a very ancient one, the one that I now posted is what is widely accepted as the Li coat of arms.
Offhand, I do not know what the figures denote - that would take some research.

Hi Grace: If I am reading your chart correctly, it looks like the surname of your cousin's grandma is Tjia. If that is the case, the Wikipedia page on Chinese Indonesian surnames (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Indonesian_surname) says that the clan is 謝 (Mandarin Xie; Cantonese Tse). The word itself means "thanks." The tuteng or "coat of arms" is below: This ancient version of the character for the surname is supposed to look like a person using a bow and arrow. There are many places on the internet where one can find information about the ancient origins of Chinese clans. To find more recent information about this woman's ancestors would be more challenging. The best source of information would, of course, be a genealogy but that may be inaccessible to anyone outside China. The name of her family's ancestral village in China may lead to some clues. Greg
