Has anyone come across this captioned family annal? Apparently that's my family branch‘s book. Found an extract online but Google translation to English has done my head in. I did find a reference to Chen Feng Tai's (陈凤台) 2nd son Chen Xuan (陈宣). www.chens.org.cn/show.aspx?id=222&cid=14Read somewhere that Chen Feng Tai was progenitor of Chans in Guandong and all Chans there descended from one of Feng Tai's 7 sons. Can anyone familiar with that branch please provide an English version of that root? My ancestral village is Jun‘ An (均安村) although I think there's A couple of this those. But this one's in Jiangmen, Guangdong. Im 25 the generation obviously not included in the book, that or records may he kept in the village ancestral hall. Thanks Appreciate any help rendered.

Hi Steph, Do you know if your family is from Hoisan/Toisan? There are two Chin villages in the village database matching the village of 均安. villagedb.friendsofroots.org/display.cgi/village/2268villagedb.friendsofroots.org/display.cgi/village/2260Yes, Chen Feng tai is the progenitor for all Chins in Guangdong. If you look though the various Chin threads started by Philip Tan, you can gain a lot of information about the progenitors and the migration locations of his sons. Can you post where you found the extract of your family branch's book? - Jeremy

Gosh Jeremy, how does one apologise for a years duration in replying? 😅 I'm not pinged on replies to my thread so didn't realise you had so kindly replied. Family is in Toisan and the 1st of the 2 location links shld be the correct one. As for the extract of my family zupu, it's from www.chens.org.cn/show.aspx?id=222&cid=14 using the translate page facility. Thanks to moderator Henry Tom, I've now established the link back to Yellow Emperor. Back to the extract, I guess the family link was found in the section "A brief period of the relocation of the Wei generations Since the fifth day of the first month of the first year of the first year of the Southern Song Dynasty, the first ancestor, Youweng (note on this website: that is, the second son of Fengtai, Xuan), first arrived at Xinhui Gugang Prefecture from Zhuji Lane in Nanxiong." Somewhere down the track the family moved from duntou to jun an. With my Chinese 101 knowledge I think I've picked up the correct lineage. Otherwise oops 😅
