While I was following up on the total eclipse of the Sun on Chinese sites, I found this little gem. www.chinadaily.com.cn/world/2009-07/23/content_8461236.htmThe apology did not generate the same kind of publicity and passion as did in June 2006, when Stephen Harper the Canadian Prime Minister made his apology in the House of Commons. He apologized to Chinese-Canadians for the Head tax and the Exclusion Act. The event was a feature in the main stream media and I believe blanket coverage in the Canadian Chinese press. Can members and guests in California add to my meagre knowledge? Douglas

Douglas, Perhaps it is still a bit early for much media play on California's apology noting that it was a rather recent apology from the State of California versus a national apology that emanated from Canada. Anyway, Time magazine has published a more comprehensive article on California's apology, and it can be found at: www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1911981,00.html I "googled" the Califiornia apology, but so far not much major media coverage can be found just yet.
