Kevin,
I will drop Sarah a note. As her husband's gf's name is Sing Lip Hing Gin, I am wondering if in fact the gentleman name is Lip Hing Gin, ie, Surname Gin. And it could well be that he is a Gin/Yan. In our research, we have come across one individual in Victoria, Australia, where his name was Sing X X Yee. We were wondering why 4 characters in his name, until we came across one of the petitions, signed in Chinese, which says that his Sing ( 姓 ie Xing ) is Yee.
Regards, Ah Gin

Hi there - I have been in contact with Sarah and her husband. They are trying to get a photo of the headstone in Mangere. Once that is available, we may be able to help you futher.
Who is it that was born in 1991?
Are you in Auckland? I am.
