My family clan's ancestral temple, honoring the founder of our clan in Taishan, was damaged during the 60s and 70s. Through donations from overseas and the village people, the temple was restored and last week was the celebration of the restoration and re-opening. Fortunately, many photos are posted on a bulletin board by those who attended. Like many other clans, temple is located in the original founder's village, to many it's simple known as the "Old" village. The pages are in Chinese, but you can simple enjoy the photos. www.75one.cn/read.php?tid=31481

What is the village name? Our surname clan consists of about 80 villages in Taishan, collectively we were called Wangsui (Hengshui in Mandarin) Heung 橫水鄉 or 堡 (bo /bao, fortress). The original village is simply know as Wangsui Kiu Toon 橫水 舊村 (Old Village)。 For her research, Kate on this forum visited a nearby village in Wangsui, Long Tang, a few years ago.
