Hello, I am trying to read a name tag on a flight jacket that belonged to a U.S. pilot in WW2. The man served in China and had the following name tag sewn on the front of the jacket. I would be very greatful if someone would be able to translate the Chinese characters for me. Sincerely, Jason Attachments:

It looks like 謝尔曼 pronounced in Cantonese as Ze Ji Maan I think. On the Village database www.c-c-c.org/villagedb/search.cgi it is listed as Der or Tse Hope that helps. Regards, Ah Gin

Hello Ah Gin ,
Thank you so much for your help. I looked into this a little more and put the characters you provided into an online translator and came up with a phonetic translation for "Sherman". This is most likely the pilot's last name.
Thank you again for your help.
Jason
