I am doing some research about the wong (汪) family totem (hopefully visible in the post). I understand that the left element is a river or a wave. The ideogram in the middle is the king (王). What I still don't know is the meaning of the thing on top of the wang ideogram. It looks like a plant or a fountain. Although I doubt it is a fountain as such thing might not have been widespread at the time.... Also if anybody has informations about the boar on the right? What is the story behind it? I've been intrigued by this totem since I learned of its existence. I would be thankful for any indications.

Hi pingping357,
Welcome to our Forum.
Currently, I am unable to post an image to the Forum, however, if you send me an email to "Tomclan@Gmail.com" - I have a Chinese explanation for the meaning our your totem and will send it to your email address. Unfortunately, as I cannot read Chinese, then you can post the image on the Forum and some of our Forum members can translate for you.
Regards,
Henry

Hello Henry. Thank you for the quick answer and the warm welcome.
I sent you a mail. I hope you won't have any trouble sending the document and I am looking forward to have a look at it.
Maybe I am pushing my luck, but would you perchance know where I can also consult the Wong Jiapu (汪家谱) or if someone somewhere is maintaining one online?

Hi pingping357,
I suggest that you google with " 汪家谱 " - I imagine there are probably Chinese websites that could provide you with genealogy books & lineages. Many of these websites, Google will translate the page for you into English.
Even though I could not read or write Chinese, I tried this approach and was able to find some Chinese sources w\hen i was researching my clan heritage.
