Thank you Helen and Doug. I am more than willing to plod away on my own doing it - I like a challenge - its the help in finding out how to do it that has been the problem and you have both offered thoughts/ideas/suggestions. Will let you know how I go. Kind regards - June

alex, Take photo 8287 as an example, with reference to the ring grip: Left: 五加皮 Right: 茯苓皮 Top: 大腹皮 Bottom: 地骨皮 To find out the English names of the herb, the following site seems quite useful. I have done a search of the 4 herbs mentioned above. www.wiki8.com/wujiapi_23357/www.wiki8.com/fulianpi_74122/www.wiki8.com/dafupi_23451/www.wiki8.com/digupi_22745/My usual method: write out the Chinese characters, using Penpower. Niki is just as good. I use a Word doc. as a writing pad to hold the Chinese words. Cut (from your Word doc) and paste the Chinese characters onto the Google search engine and select the best site relevant to what you are searching for. As I am looking for Chinese herbal names, the best seems to the wiki8 site. Hope this helps. Have fun. Regards, Ah Gin
