I have been a supporter (or field partner, as they'd put it) of MSF for about ten years or more. In the latest newsletter, I learned of the current International President is called Joanne Liu. It sounds very Chinese, and a Google search confirms it. Dr. Joanne Liu is a Canadian of Chinese heritage. Like Henry, Fay Chee, and our webmaster, she too, is of Sze Yup parentage. Dr. Liu is doing all you Sze Yup people proud.
I like her Chinese name 廖滿嫦 very much. 滿嫦 pronounced Moon Seung, 滿 Moon means full or fulsome, Seung 嫦 is the Moon Goddess. It is a little unusual to have 滿 for a girl's name whereas 嫦 is more common. It is so easy to call out her name as her parents and elders probably would ''Ah Seung, Ah Seung'' ! It is very catch and earthy. I like it.
