Hello there. My name is Ranee McBride and C. Gee Wo is my 2nd great grandfather from his second wife. I had no idea that he had children in China. I really don’t know much about him.

He was quite the character . . . Have you done any further research on him? He traveled to a number of major cities before settling on Portland and got in his share of trouble for practicing medicine without a license.
I would love to see a variety of his descendants do dna test to confirm relationships.
he may or may not have been the father of the boys who came from China, family of George Soon Leo believes that he and Frank were “Paper Sons”
you our don’t have any photographs you would be willing to trade for other documentation/research do you? I have quite a bit of documentation for him.

Hi Ranee,
That is so interesting that you both have a connection to this person. Are you the decendant of Guie Leo Cook or Leo Jin Ning?

Hi, I'm glad I found this thread. I just got my FTDNA yDNA results and match with the '劉/刘' surname. My grandfather from Macau, China (b. November 2, 1907) came to the Philippines around 1918-1920 when he was only 10 years old looking for work. In my dad's birth documents, grandfather use the name 'Leo Suening'.
His given name Suening (two Chinese word joined together?) became our surname in the Philippines.
He died in November 6, 1995 in Cebu City, Philippines.
Does anyone of you knows where is the ancestral house of Leo's in Macau?
