I am a descendant of great-grandfather Wan Co from Amoy China
He was baptised Juan Lim in Batangas City Philippines He arrived in Batangas around 1910-1920 and married my grandmother Marcela Molina
They have one son (grandfather Engr Bartolome Lim of Department of Public Works and Highways) and 3 daughters.
Engr Bartolome Lim, his only son, passed away in 1971 leaving behind a wife Dr Maria B Lim and children: Dr Cely Cayetano, Dr Vedasto and Dr Eleazar
I am his great-granddaughter Dr Maria Cecille Lim Cayetano-Angelia please send email dr.cecille@yahoo.com for any information about our great grandfather Wan Co
Being a good businessman, he became a leader of the market businessmen in Batangas and contributed to the church
His remains is in the baptistry of the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Concepcion in Batangas City
Thank you. God bless.

Hi drcecille,
You will probably hear many others echo this advice, but that's because it's an excellent starting point for everyone.
Your great-grandfather Wan Co's remains, have you visited there? If so, is there any marker, with Chinese characters? Often, characters are the best place to start. From Wan Co, I cannot determine what is the first and last name, for example.
So in short, take a look at anything your family has (the gravestone or plaque, papers, letters, etc) if you have any and let us know. Good luck! Hope it helps.
