Wow! Thanks you, Henry for the information and the map, giving me the location they are talking about.
Also, if possible can you or anybody else tell me what all the words that goes with the photos say, if someone has time to translate it all. I’m also curious about what they all say. I would really appreciate it very much. Thanks.

tchow3,
I am an ABC and cannot read or write Chinese.
I can speak Taishanese and can recognize Chinese characters & with this ability and my professional background as a cartographer /geographer - I am able to help locating ancestral villages. There are various members of this Forum that are Chinese literate and can translate for you.

Henry,
No problem! I am just grateful you were able to come up with the village name and the added bonus of the map!
I was just curious what the writing says.
Hopefully, someone can translate it.
By the way, is there any proper forum on this board that exists to post in where you can get help in translating material written in Chinese? Thanks again for your help!

Thanks tyuti1668! Now I am curious about what exactly is written on the back of the other two photos with one labeled “our home in China”. I would love to find out what exactly it says about “our home” such as the name of the district, heung, etc. if mentioned and any other details about “our home”. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

Hi:
Both of the other photos basically have the same inscription, written by Yoon Lim, with the first inscription (second photo) dated 7/1/1988: "Sai Tong Village, Sheung Doong Township, Mau Gong, Hoiping County, Guangdong Province is our family ancestral home."
The third photo says it was a gift to "Younger Uncle Yoon Lim" from Mun ____ -I can't quite make out the second character in his name.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the translation!
I appreciate your information on the detailed location of “our home”
If possible, can you tell me which characters refer to “Yoon Lim” and which ones belongs to Mun ______”?
Once again I appreciate everybody’s help and being patient with me for asking all these questions. Thanks again!

Hi:
Remember that the characters are read from right to left. In the top photo, the name of Yoon Lim appears in the upper right corner, where it says, "Mr. and Mrs. Chow Yoon Lim." In the second photo, Yoon Lim appears in the sixth column from the right ("recorded by Yoon Lim"). In the third photo, Yoon Lim is in the upper right corner again, where it says "For Younger Paternal Uncle Yoon Lim." The name I can't quite read is the two characters on the far left.
