Through this siyi forum, our family had the honour of meeting Henry Tom and his lovely spouse here in Vancouver last week. Henry resides in Washington DC, so it was refreshing and stimulating to hear genealogy research efforts from a person 'uncontaminated' with local flavours. Henry has a great ability and incredible resources to help find your ancestral village on a detailed topographic map, and not only did he find mine, he also helped verify the obscure local vernacular name my ancestors had for our village in Kaiping. Real cool stuff! Henry can probably help with your ancestral quest too... here's his website: mysite.verizon.net/vzepzaui/maps4.html

You provide great information for foreign born Chinese looking for ancestral village. My question is how to locate: Nafeng village, Xikuo, Duanfen Town, Taishan County, Guangdong. Can it be located with longitude and latitude coodinates on Google Map website?

Tyuti is right that any request for help in search of one's ancestral village should include more than English translation of village names. There are many villages with the same names or similar sounding names, and to make matters worse the translation could have come from Taishanese, Cantonese, Mandarin or any other dialects.
Nearly all villages in the Siyi region are mono-surname villages, if nothing else simply including one's surname would help make the search a lot easier. Yes, this is a public forum and it's understandable that one might want to keep some sort of anonymity. However, keep in mind that the villages are mono-surname, once we identify the village, we automatically identify the surname too.

Poshunl,
Duanfen Town 端 芬 镇 is in Taishan City 台 山 市 (county-level city 县 级 市), Jiangmen City 江 门 市 (prefecture-level city 地 级 市), Guangdong Province 广 东 省 .
Duanfen is a town of Moys. You must have 梅 Moy (Mui. Mei) roots.
Google Maps is an excellent site for a detailed rural map of China. Zoom in to Guangdong Province, Guangzhou and Taishan. You should be able to find Duanfen Town and your ancestral village. Google Maps is very detailed and the village names are in Mandarin Pinyin and written Chinese (Simplified).
Sorry, I don't have the time, strength or energy to find the coordinates for you due to my recent health issues. You should be able to find it on Google Maps easily.

My question is how to locate: Nafeng village, Xikuo, Duanfen Town, Taishan County, Guangdong. Can it be located with longitude and latitude coodinates on Google Map website? The village is Napeng. 中国 广东省 江门市 台山市 端芬镇 西廓村委会 那蓬村 Village surname is Leung/Liang 梁 Google Map, in satellite view not map view , (Lat, Long) is "22.05, 112.723". For whatever reason, there's a slight offset between Google satellite view and map view, in that part of China.
