Hello,
Would anyone be able to help me find Guangdong San, Lam Hoi Yuen, Fuk San Jun? My grandmother and her family the Wong's were from there?
Thank you,

I think this translates to
Guangdong province, Nanhoi County 廣東省南海縣福生鎮. Not sure what the second "san" should be. Can't find anything close to it on my map.
Henry, can you help us out here?

Think the word "san" is a transliteration of the 3rd Chinese word in Woodson's translation, ie, "Sang" in my poor Cantonese, ie Province.

Hi Gymlaw, Welcome to the Forum, Sorry for my late response - I had to replace my desktop computer unexpectedly and I had to reload lots of applications and recover my hard drives. I searched and could not find any places according to the Chinese characters that Woodson suggested. There are many Chinese characters for the romanization "Guangdong San, Lam Hoi Yuen, Fuk San Jun" you provided. Assuming that this is a Cantonese romanization - some of our Cantonese literate Forum members need to taks a look at the maps below to see if they can identify a place that is similar in pronunciation to the romanization you provided. If b4 1946 (1941年,設立佛山特別區,下轄佛山、富福、汾文三鎮。1946年,佛山三鎮合併重組為佛山鎮) it's 南海縣 佛山鎮 (today: 佛山市禪城區祖廟街道內)

Thanks, tyuti1668 and Henry!
Henry, hope your snow blower is in good repair. I told my wife you guys were hit with 25 cm of snow and she corrected me. Told me it was 46 cm! Did you take some snow scape photos?

Woodson, Unfortunately, my John Deere riding tractor that has the large snowblower mounted in the front decided it needed a new clutch during this historic record snowfall - 24 inches in my development, also, my backup self-propelled snowblower did not work either. So, I had to use a shovel and almost 4 hours later - I finally was able to clear the driveway and my long sidewalk - whew !!! I took it slow because at age 67 - a senior shoveling snow needs to be done carefully. Here is a photo: Henry

Great looking job! 4 hours!? That's a week's exercise. I think you can take the rest of the week off unless another monster of a snow storm hits again.
