Hi everyone. Has anyone taken the bus from Guangzhou to Xintang? Please help me with information concerning the bus fare, bus schedule, and bus route. Does the bus from Xintang continue to Yaotian? Thank you very much.

增城新塘鎮瑤田村 From which GZ district? w/o further info i would suggest the direct bus from 广州汽车客运站 www.gzkyz.com.cn/ (near the main GZ train station) / Y15 to Xintang (新塘车站) #the official page #214 also services this route BUT it's very crowd & slow. From GZ aiport: route 8 (long) to Xintang's 太阳城大酒店 (http://www.suncityhotel.cn)

Tyuti, thank you very for your reply. Is Shamian Island considered part of the Zengcheng district? I 'm afraid my geography's terrible and I'm not very good with maps.

The GZ district is Liwan. I appreciate the information and advice I have received from members of this forum.

Shamian Island isn't part of ZC because Liwan ("1") is OLD GZ proper. Shamian Island the "swan" Just ask the front desk staff where to take the bus.

Skwdvm, According to Wikipedia: "Shamian Island, formerly known as Shameen Island or Sha Min Island, from its Cantonese pronunciation (Chinese: 沙面岛, pinyin: Shāmiàn dǎo) is a sandbank island in the Liwan District of Guangzhou city, Guangdong province, China. The island's name literally means "sandy surface" in Chinese." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamian_IslandThis is a URL to a rather detailed map of Shamian Island: www.dpeters2.com/adopt/shamian.htmlHenry

Bus service was efficient and fast. The fare was 14 RMBs. I was fortunate to meet Helen from this forum in Xintang. She is still on holiday. Thank you everyone for your help.
