China reports 13th A/H1N1 flu case on mainlandwww.chinaview.cn 2009-05-27 16:23:23 Print GUANGZHOU/SHANGHAI, May 27 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangdong Province Wednesday reported its second influenza A/H1N1 case, bringing to 13 the total of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland. A 62-year-old ethnic Chinese American tested positive for A/H1N1 Wednesday at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Guangdong Provincial Health Bureau said. The patient's temperature had fallen to normal and all 23 people who had close contact with him have been quarantined. The U.S. citizen arrived in Hong Kong on May 17 on Cathay Pacific flight CX 879 from San Francisco. He took a bus to Taishan, Jiangmen in Guangdong Province, on May 18. He developed a fever on May 20 and saw a doctor on May 22.
