need help only have my grandfathers name .james lee chung leong born canton china.i have his mothers and fathers name and know they were from goang dong province.my grandfather is buried in tsuen wan cemetry which i just visited two weeks ago after a search for seven months.where would i start i know very little of my grandfathers family as he was gone the year i was born.dad has passed away and i feel the need to at least do my best to track down their origin etc.if i can find my grandfather in the new territories i guess i can try to finf his family.it's a start anyway.so if anyone has any ides please let me know.really would be greatfull ::)

Welcome to the Forum.
Did you take a digital photo of your grandfather's gravestone? Generally, Chinese gravestones for the older ancestors have most of the information, as inscribed Chinese characters, needed to recover your family genealogy lineage. Please post the photo and people in the Forum can then begin to help you.

Hi Shazars, Good job finding your gfather's gravesite ! Now, starting talking to your parents, your uncles and aunties on that side and collect the basic data (clues) like stories, photos... on that family. Then, you should verify the oral tradition.
