'Round the Clock, Chinese American Artists Working in Los Angeles was an exhibit of the work of five artists: George Chann, Jake Lee, John Kwok, Milton Quon, and Tyrus Wong. The show was presented at the Vincent Price Art Museum (VPAM) at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park California.
Wong was born in 1910 in Taishan came to the United States when he was 9 years old. His best known work was for the Disney film Bambi. Today, Wong still going strong by designing and flying kites at Santa Monica beach.
Jake Lee's work was watercolor paintings of California, many of which were on the covers of Westway magazine. Lee also came from Guangdong China.
Quon also painted in watercolor. He worked for Disney Studios on films Fantasia and Dumbo.
