Showing a visit to our Wong village - including armchair graves. I have been here 3 times now - and this you tube brings back many memories.
And for our fellow Wongs - how to get there.

Helen, my excursion to Gwa Leng last November is still fresh on my mind. The youtube clip is a nice reminder.
You'll remember after getting off the bus, I got on a motorcycle taxi for 15 RMB, which took me to your Wong village. The road to the village runs parallel to an expressway. On the left side, I think there are banana and sugar cane crops.
Your fellow villager walked me to the bus terminal for the trip back to Xintang / Sun Tong, and onto another bus to my aunt's in Dongguan.
I crossed the bridge as shown. Pity about the pollution. With political will, I think the river can be rehabilitated.

Hi Douglas - Happy New Year to you and yours. This video was taken about 5 years ago - when my mentor Henry Chan was still alive. It was good to see the village before I ever went there. It's quite a walk back to Xintang. I did it the first time. Was hot and tired at the end of it. The buildings that were being constructed are now built. A lovely village.
