my grandfather is Lee Chan who was allegedly from Macau came to to Philippines in the early 1900's. he married and had 9 children. my father was his youngest child. my only memory of my grandfather was a black and white picture during his late years since he died before i was born. since i was a child, i wanted to know and trace my ancestors in China. hopefully somebody could help me trance y ancestors in china.

Hi there,
Do yo need any Chinese characters for your grandpa's name? Maybe in the picture, back of picture or some letters (if you have access to your grandpa's headstone, it might have where he came from in Chinese).
Without this information it is a bit more difficult to find your ancestors in China (but not impossible), try searching for travel Manifestos, include other names he might have had, etc

hello, my grandfather left Macau for the Philippines perhaps on the same boat with your grandfather.
Birth year is 1907, departed Macau between 1915 to 1920s. He died in Cebu City, Philippines.
"Leo Suening" is his name in my dad's baptismal certificate.
Looking to find assistance so we can connect our relatives back in China.
