Szeto Library, Kaiping, Guangdong 17 Ti Dong Lu, Chikkan Kaiping, Guangdong, Peoples Republic of China Post Code 529367
Manager: Szeto Liang
Note: the map seems to show different address. Could be mailing address or maps do not show local roads? Google search: Situshi Library Public library in Jiangmen, China Address: 557 County Rd, Kaiping Shi, Jiangmen Shi, Guangdong Sheng, China

I saw the county rd address as well. What are the characters for ti dong Lu? It doesn't seem to come up on maps. Though I am seeing a Zhong Hua Dong Lu, China E. Road?

When I was there in August 2017, I thought they said the address of the Situ Library is #126 XXX XXXX Road. The x's represent a 2 word Chinese name for the road. My poor Hoiping romanization of what I recall as the name of the road is: "hai on lo". Note: The road is parallel to the a smaller river tributary.....don't know the name either. Is this of any help? I've attached the business card from the Situ Library....might that be of some use? Anyway, I am trying to locate the library on a map you recommend. I am trying to spot my grandfather's building which is up the road (by a bridge) from Situ Library on a map. Thanks. Attachments:

Is it possible, what I romanize in Chinese Hoiping language as "Hai On Lo", refering to the same road you call "di tong lu"? (I am assuming that di tong lu is Chinese Mandarin.)

jschikan, yours is a third address now. The google address is not a house number, but the road/street number.
This address: Szeto Library, Kaiping, Guangdong 17 Ti Dong Lu, Chikkan Kaiping, Guangdong, Peoples Republic of China Post Code 529367
came from business card attached from the book Faychee purchased. Not knowing the names of the adjacent roads, that's my conclusion.
Actually, your business card refers to a village, not an specific address. Loubei 楼北; and the administrative village of Yongjian 永坚.
I think there are several organizations. The business card not representing the library.

jschikan, there is no problem with locating the library on map. All maps show it and you can see the tower. 22.322204, 112.593929 or 22.325301, 112.588972 (coordinates) Google US site map is bad between map and satellite views (north of the river), that's why the two set of coordinates. Anyway, on the satellite view you can see the tall tower. I have to go now, but will post more info tomorrow.

My 3 photos in the message are of a gate.....the same gate leading to a Soo Hoo village. The horizontal is at the top of the gate and the 2 vertical photos represent the 2 sides of the same gate.

To be clear, the photo for my avatar is of a different gate in a different village. It is a Tang village.

Jschikan,
Yes, I realize all that. But, you were looking for the coordinates of that soo hoo (seto) village as well right? With my limited knowledge of Chinese, it looks as if there are two village names on the arch which is why I was slightly confused.

Exactly, there are two villages listed on the top of the gate. Reading right to left: "新樓村迴龍里". They are not next to each other, in area 2 and 3 per village db. The question is why? Was the gate put up to indicate the greater area between the two villages?

lachinatown: jeremy chin: Thanks for your help. I've attached a photo of an address plate from a house in the Situ/SooHoo village with that gate in front. Is that of any help in deciding what area I am trying to find on a map? Thank you. js Attachments:

It says 楼西迴龍里 louxi huilongli. (Don't know the significant of louxi at this point. BTW, can you explain where exactly is that gate with two villages was taken at? on what road or intersection, or village?

lachinatown:
I was driven around by cousins so I don't know where I was. I will send them a WeChat and perhaps they can explain what roads it took to get me there.
Thank you,
