客家 Grandfather 林伍 from 广西博白

He was a Hakka from Guang Xi, Yu Lin, Bo Bai County. Born around ~1899 and came to Singapore to labour at ~1910. These estimations are derived from his death at 1971 and at age 72. Some in the family say he might have been running away from authorities because he never spoke much about his family in China and never attempted contact with them.
Just would like to have more advice and knowledge about the place. A county isn't exactly a small place
