When we visited my ancestral village in 2019, our ancestral home was no longer in existence, having deteriorated from weather over the past decades. It was torn down and only had bricks and debris strewn on the ground.
However, we were lucky enough to find a wooden hanger, which our village relatives said was for hanging the straw raincoats traditional worn in the old days. Here is a video of an artisan who still makes straw raincoats
