My mom is trying to locate her siblings from China. Her father was previously married and had a son before he immigrated to Chile (around 1915-1917) and re-married to my grandmother. We think my grandfather’s name was Chang Pak Yee (in China) but he was called Felix Chang in Chile. He was born in 1897 and he passed away June 22 1963 in Chile. His son’s name is/was “Lium Phum” (or a name that sounds similar). They were from a town named Nanhai in the province of Guangdong. He had at least two brothers. My grandfather mother’s name was Lysi (my great grandmother - pronounced like Li-ssee). My grandfather father’s name was Yausiak (my great grandfather - pronounced Yausiak). They used to own a thread factory. This is a picture of my grandfather and his name (can someone please help me confirm if its translated correctly?). Where can I go from here to find relatives from China?

c896,
Please post a clear photo of your maternal grandfather's gravestone that has Chinese characters - if it does, it will probably have the name of the village in Nanhai.

Hello Henry, Thank you so much for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't live near nor do I have a picture of the gravestone . The only information I have is that they were from NanHai, Canton, Guangdong (I am not sure if it helps). Also, my mother had those two pictures. One of them is a letter from my grandfather's son from China, we don't have the address where it was sent from. Can anyone help me translate that? The other picture, it might be the "real" name of my grand father : Ching Pak Yzi?
