Hello, Chris here. We’ve recently found new documents and my mum wants me to try my luck and see if I can reunite my grand-uncle and grandpa.
Date Nov. 26,1948 is Certifies that ‘Antonio Po’ residing at I. 170 Rosario St.Manila is going to Fooklen, China and it is requested that assistance be afforded him/her in case of necessity.
CONSULATE GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA Manila, Philippines
It says that he will be relocated to Nan’an, Fujian province. Apart from that, we have nothing because the documents have been waterdamaged but I’d really like some help to get started. Facebook isnt turning up any leads and I know zero Chinese. There’s a possibility that I’ll go to China for a backpacking trip this year as well so any help, or leads is duly appreciated.
PS. It says Manila but somewhere down the line, the whole clan moved to Leyte if that’s of any importance.

chrischris, If you want to re-connect with your grand uncle, visit your ancestral village and/or trace your family lineage - you will need the Chinese characters for the name of your ancestral village and the Chinese characters for the name of your grandfather. Usually, overseas Chinese have most of this information inscribed on their gravestones in Chinese characters - you may want to check: Find a Grave www.findagrave.com/BillionGraves billiongraves.com/searchNan'an (Chinese: 南安; pinyin: Nán'ān; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lâm-oaⁿ; lit. 'southern peace') is a county-level city of southern Fujian Province, People's Republic of China. It is under the administration of Quanzhou City and as of 2023, had a total population of 1,663,542.[1][2] More than 4,000,000 overseas Chinese trace their ancestry to Nan'an.[1] from Wikipedia.
