I currently live in the United Kingdom, however my family, by my mothers side, traces back to Guangdong by my grandfather [Lee, Hawk Chow] who was born in 1931 and died in Vancouver 2020. He had immigrated from Guangdong to Vancouver with my mother at around 1976-1982. Before this he was a doctor and my mother told me he was renowned in the Gunagdong provence for his kindness and knowledge in medicine. Hawk Chow Lee was born into a wealthy family but, as my mother told me, lost his wealth and possesions in a revolt along with his parents (my great-grandparents). I am assuming a lot of the Lee family heritage has been lost to ruin, however is anybody knows of a Hawk Chow Lee from Guangdong, please contact me. I don't have any records except for his orbituary, I don't know any mandarin and thus I cannot show any characters of his name. I only hope that somebody has some relation to his name.

I have found out a couple peiecs of information. I am from the family name "李" from my mother's side (Zhongshan village in Guangdong) and "鍾" from my fathers side (Zhongzhou). Interestly, my mother's grandmother had came from a family called "Chan" which she said were extremely wealthy and ran a paper mill until a cultural revolution. Does anybody know any information of relevance to this?
