I am hoping for information on the location of birth for my father-in-law for use on his headstone. We only have written information from his brother's immigration paperwork from the 1970's. It shows the location as Far Sei Lee Chuen, Hoiping (Kaiping), Kwangtung (Guangdong), China. I have not been able to find Far Sei Lee Chuen. Is there any chance that "Huashuli Village" is the same as "Far Sei Lee Chuen"? The image which I have attached may be the Chinese characters for this location. Also did the borders of Kaiping change pre and post 1949? The map on the Ancestral Village Research site does not have the same shape for Hoping/Kaiping as a current map does. Thank-you for any help anyone may be able to provide.

Thank-you so much for taking the time to reply to my question. We used the j.map.baidu link and then found the village on Google maps so we could see the village in the satellite image. My husband confirmed that he is 99% sure that that is it.

... The map on the Ancestral Village Research site does not have the same shape for Hoping/Kaiping as a current map does. ... Compare to the Toishan map for those lost lands instead... It doesn't matters much in real life TS & KP still under the same prefectural city (ie. SAME tel area code (0)750 / SAME 粵J license plate) / senior citizens can use their transport pass in either place which unlike Zhongshan (0)760 /粵T & Zhuhai (0)756/ 粵C that drive old ppl nuts...
