I came across an old book that took up most of two weeks of my reading time. I found it very informative and decided to pass on this information for you. If you've already read it, then I would be pleased to hear what you have to say. What opened my eyes is the extent of discrimination that took place in British Columbia. Growing up in Montreal,
I personally did not feel outwardly discriminated against even though I was the only Chinese person in the whole school or we were the only Chinese family on the street etc.
The first thing that caught my attention was two maps (which I've attached) of the counties in Guangdong and the early Chinese settlements in British Columbia. I apologize for their large size, but I wanted you to be able to see the details. Perhaps you have use of these two maps on your website. I don't believe that you will have copyright problems if you properly identify the source.
