Just keep on posting, I guess. Do you and others think we should have a chit-chat section? Or some other non-genealogy related topics?
Chit-chat is good but there's insuffecent number of members at this moment to make it worthwhile. It could however lead to involement of others who either is a guest or current member of taking more interest. As for non-genealogy topics as a tool to attract more joining and/or visit the site more frequent sounds great. In fact I thought of that yesterday when I posted the other items. Yep it certainly is a good area the site can entertain.
Care to suggest some topics? Would members and guests like to see postings on current events/news related to the world-wide Chinese communities? What about the hot issues in the communities? An example is the Cecelia Zhang case in Toronto.
Administrator, I don't think we need all those bogus participants to inflate our membership viz the birthday list today. I cheek each one out, it is all self-serving using this platform to spruik their narrow self-interest. A little house cleaning is in order, perhaps? Give them the flick, prune the deadwood.
How about an "in search of" photo section? I'm sure everyone's got pictures of people and places whose significance, without accompanying captions, may be missed.
For instance, I know my paternal grandma, Evelyn Ng Moy, had a sister. The only thing I know about her is a name, Way Ho Ng (maiden name, I think). She was born about 1912 and I met her and her daughter about 40 years when I lived in Maryland.
Hoping someone might recognize her picture one day and connect!
