For the past 30 years, i have been trying to find my father with no results. So, today, I'm hoping that someone can help me. I was born in Guyana, south america and am now living with my family in the USA. I do not have much information about my father but The little that I know was that he came to Guyana, south america in the 1960's. I was born in 1964 and he left guyana, south america in the 1970's. His name in guyana was "Michael Sue Ming". He was a restaurant owner in agricolla. At the time he left guyana, I was told that he was going to Canada to live. I understand that I have several brothers and sisters and uncles living in either canada or china. Can someone tell me where I should start looking? and what is the possibility that my father changed his name?. I tried alot of search engines to find sueming but there is no one by that name, they all came up as "sue" or Ming. Thank you for your help!!

The chances on finding your father are very slim because you have no real information to speak of. The Sue Ming is not much of a clue. In the West Indies some "surnames" may not be real Chinese surnames and can just be a personal name in a complete Chinese name. Sue on the other hand may possibly be a Chinese surname but without a character it is hard to determine what it may be. Your only hope is to find his 1960 landing papers in Guyana which will contain his full name and may also provide additional information where in China he came from. After all 1960 was not that long ago when documents were more precise. houseofchinn.com
