Dear Eugene,
This may not be the right forum to search for a particular person but if Quah Beng Kee OBE JP was a prominent person involved with the plantation on North Malaya there would be some information in Perak Planter Association (PPA) in Ipoh or the Institute of Planters (ISP) in Kuala Lumpur. The addresses of the two assocaitions would be available on the Malaysian Yellow pages and the ISP has a website.
If he was awarded the OBE and JP in 1937 there would be records with the British High Commissioner as these events occurred before the Japanese invasion when record would have been lost.
I give my comment here as there had been no replies to your query and hope this helps.
Happy hunting
Joseph Chan MBE

To Eugene,
You can find two documents from the National Archive(Malaysia) related to "Quah Beng Kee " business activities in Kedah. However the documents are in Jawi. The documents are not available online but available for viewing at the National Archive in KL.
