I have contacted a member of the family who left the area that my husbands family came from when he was 10. He said that the area was called Kwong Tung Bak Sar (I have written it as I heard it).
Would this help in finding the ancestral village.

Kwangtung province is the same as Canton province. Now you need to figure out if they spoke Cantonese or Siyip - or another dialect. Are there any chinese characters that you have?

Kindly help me find our origin. May great grand father named Ko Be from Amoy according to my grandmother his daughter. I don't know exactly the year of his birth but he died in February or March 1930. My grandmother don't anything more because she was 14 in age when his father left them due to ailment and he wants to die in China.
