kaluosima,
I am from Chungshan, and I have been to Sanxiang a few years ago. I tried the hot spring baths there. As I am going back to Chungshan in November, I'll go to Sanxiang and look for your village and make a few enquiries about Ma Fung Yee and Ma Kuen. If your ancestral home can be located, I'll post some photos on this board for all to see. It would be great if I could find living links to your family.
There are lots of Chungshan people in Peru. My grandfather's older brother went to Peru early last century. There was contact by letters, the great uncle even sent one of his sons back to the village for Chinese education before WW2. Now, I have no idea where the people are.
There is also another well-known Ma village in Chungshan. It is called Sa Chung. Sa Chung is the home of the department store pioneer Ma Ying Bew of Sincere Co. fame. Sa Chung is, perhaps, not the one you're looking for.
To tyuti1668, I have seen the CCTV's DVDs on overseas Chinese from Chungshan in Australia, North America and Hawaii. Can you find the link on Chungshan people in South America? Much appreciated.
Looks like I am going to be very busy while I am in China.
Douglas

kaluosima, Tyuti1668 has located the village in the address. The name of the village is Tanggan. The first letter was sent by Ma Fengyi (Ma Fung Ñi in Spanish) to Ma Quan/Kuen/Kin (your grandfather?) to a hotel address in Peru. The second was from someone named Ma (presumably Ma Quan/Kuen/Kin) to Ma Fengyi, addressing Ma Fengyi as his daughter.
The third has 3 addresses, the first 2 addresses in Macau and the 3rd again to Ma Fengyi in Zhongshan Sanxiang commune.
The Macau addresses: To Miu Ying, Macau, 33 Nanhuan Street, ground floor To Huang Yi, Macau, 109 5th of October Street, Double Happiness Bakery
Look for your relatives in Zhongshan first. It more likely to find them in Sanxiang than in Macau, where people more likely to have moved elsewhere and the buildings more likely to have been torn down and rebuilt.

tyuti1668, you are ever so reliable to come up with the things I like to see. I think I'd definitely pay Sanxiang a visit. The food is irresistible. I want to try the local specialty lai fun 瀨 粉 rice noodles, and the roast goose as shown on ZSTV. But I can't open the overseas Chungshan Chinese show because I don't know how to download the "plugin" software. Have to wait for my daughter to help.
